The Big Coastal Walk

Saturday 6th September

Join The Evie Dove Foundation on Saturday 6th September for the brilliant Evie Dove Foundation Walk, making a halfway pit stop at The Pilot.

Come together for an epic 17-mile Big Coastal route (or a gentler 3-mile Little Canal stroll) and be part of something pink, powerful, and packed with heart. Starting at the home of the annual walk; Unit 1 Hythe, you will travel along the coastline to the halfway point, where The Pilot will be firing up a BBQ to fuel your stride. If you aren’t stopping to eat with us, don’t miss a refreshing ‘Evie’s Sparkle’ pink slushie with £1 from every icy delight going straight to the foundation.

This is an opportunity for the Folkestone community to come together in memory of one special girl, Evie, who loved the sea. All whilst raising funds to help sponsor the further education of paediatric clinicians helping young people and saving lives. We’ll see you there!

Summer DJ Sessions

Every Saturday, 1:00–4:30pm

The Pilot Beach Bar invites you to spend your summer Saturdays soaking up the rhythm of the coast. From 1pm to 4:30pm each week, our beachside bar will come alive with the sounds of weekly guest DJs, bringing you an ever-changing mix of Balearic beats, Latin rhythms, groove, soul, and global music. It’s the perfect soundtrack for lazy afternoons by the sea, crafted to capture that true beach vibe.

And if you’re not ready for the music to stop, you don’t have to. From 5pm, the vibe moves across The Viaduct and into Rocksalt Garden, where Rocksalt Vibrations takes over and carries the groove into the evening. With chilled cocktails, sea views, and carefully curated sounds, it’s the perfect setting to watch the sun go down and keep the weekend energy flowing well into the night.
